IT Home reported on August 16 that according to the official news of China Aerospace Science and Technology, the horizontal separation fairing of the Lijian-2 liquid carrier rocket was successfully launched. As a milestone in the development phase of the Lijian-2 project, it marks that the development of liquid rockets of China Aerospace Science and Technology has fully entered the critical stage. This laid the foundation for the first flight of the Force Arrow II in 2025.。
According to reports, this product is a lightweight fairing made of all-carbon fiber composite materials designed by China Aerospace Science and Technology and produced by Aisda. It has a diameter of 4200mm and a length of 12.19m. It adopts the one-piece molding process of column section and inverted cone section and the local stiffness design adapted to the horizontal throwing separation method. It is also the first time in China that the horizontal jet separation technology is used in the large-diameter fairing separation scheme, and the cold air thrust system is used as the separation energy.。
IT Home learned that Lijian-2 is a medium-sized liquid carrier rocket independently developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology. Through the "three-in-one" design of universalization, serialization and combination, it is a liquid carrier rocket built for the future large-scale constellation network construction in my country and to respond to the needs of low-cost cargo transportation. It adopts CBC configuration and has a universal core stage diameter of 3.35 meters.Total length 53 meters, take-off weight 625 tons, take-off thrust 766 tons。
The rocket has a SSO payload capacity of 8 tons and a LEO payload capacity of 12 tons.Capable of launching into sun-synchronous orbit, low-Earth orbit, and transfer orbit. Currently, the Lijian-2 liquid carrier rocket has entered the large-scale ground test and verification period of the engineering development stage, and is scheduled to make its first flight in 2025.
