IT Home reported on August 16 that the domestic RISC-V ecosystem company Saifang Technology announced yesterday the launch of a new 64-bit RISC-V processor core product, Fang Tianshu-70 (IT Home Note: Dubhe-70).Suitable for segments that require both high performance and extremely low power consumption

The Fang Tianshu-70 core uses a 9+ stage pipeline, three-issue, superscalar, out-of-order execution design, supports the RV64GCBH instruction set, and scored 7.2 points per GHz frequency in the SPECint2006 benchmark test.Performance benchmark Arm Cortex-A72 / A510

Saifang has previously launched the Dubhe-90, which focuses on "extreme performance", and the Dubhe-80, which focuses on "high energy efficiency". The launch of the Dubhe-70 further enriches Saifang's RISC-V CPU IP product line.

Saifang said that compared with the Arm Cortex-A55, the performance of Fang Tianshu-70 is 80% higher, the energy efficiency is 32% higher, and the area efficiency is 90% higher; and compared with its own Fang Tianshu-80, the energy efficiency of Fang Tianshu-70 has increased by 21% and the area efficiency has also increased by 5%.
