After the opening of Beijing Chaoyang Station, the surrounding traffic flow has increased significantly. As an important transportation node leading to Chaoyang Station, the original Shuangxinqiao passage at the intersection of Yaojiayuan North Street and the East Fourth Ring Road is 7 meters wide and has a height limit of 3.5 meters. During rush hours in the morning and evening and holidays when there is a large passenger flow at Chaoyang Station, it is very easy to cause queues and congestion on the East Fourth Ring Road auxiliary road connecting the Chaoyang Station entry and exit platforms, and even affect the traffic capacity of turning vehicles on Chaoyang Park Bridge and Dongfeng North Bridge.

To this end, the Public Transportation Company of the First Issue Group has carried out renovation and upgrading for this bottleneck. Ai Le, the engineering director of the Yaojiayuan North Street project of the Public Transportation Company of the First Issue Group, told reporters that the renovation and upgrading project of Shuangxin Bridge is 680 meters long. It is mainly to ease the traffic pressure in the area. The East Fourth Ring Road section will be transformed into a diamond-shaped interchange, the main road will be raised in the longitudinal section and cross Yaojiayuan North Street, and there will be an interchange T-junction under the bridge, which will improve the safety and convenience of pedestrians and non-motor vehicles.
