in february 2021, hyundai launched the first product after the establishment of its electric sub-brand ioniq─the ioniq 5 series. on march 4, 2024, it released the facelifted model for the first time in the korean market. recently, hyundai released the new year-style us-spec facelifted ioniq 5 series. in addition to continuing the basic changes of the korean market model, the us-spec facelifted ioniq 5 series will also be the first production model of hyundai's new factory in metaplant america (hmgma) in georgia, usa, and is expected to be officially mass-produced in the fourth quarter of 2024.

the us-spec facelift ioniq 5 series offers the xrt crossover off-road model for the first time. the exterior features unique xrt front and rear bumpers with black etched digital camouflage layers, and has black factory logos, window frames and model lettering. it is also equipped with a 23mm-raised suspension and exclusive 18-inch black aluminum wheels, as well as 18-inch all-terrain tires. the interior also has an exclusive xrt badge to enhance the unique identity of the model.

the us-spec facelift ioniq 5 series offers two basic models: the standard range version and the long range version. the battery capacity of the standard version has increased from 58kwh before the facelift to 63kwh, and the long range version has also increased from 77.4kwh to 84 kwh. the long range version only offers dual-motor power models, while the standard version offers single-motor rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive settings. by increasing the battery capacity, the us-spec facelift ioniq 5 series has a better range than before the facelift, and the rear-wheel drive single-horse long-range version can provide a range of more than 310 miles (about 499 kilometers).

in addition, the us-spec facelift ioniq 5 series will also adopt the north american charging standard (nacs) for the first time, and will be able to recharge at more than 17,000 tesla superchargers in north america. the new car will also be sold with a ccs adapter, and all hyundai pure electric models sold in the us market from the fourth quarter of 2024 will adopt the nacs north american charging standard specifications.
