Recently, many people have been discussing whether WCL is really reliable. Because the Chinese server may have blocked the achievements of Ulduar, so if players want to join a group, how should the group leader assess a player? You can't just let the player play in a group first and then see if you want to change the player, so the common method is to check the WCL rating, but recently players have found a problem that the WCL rating does not seem to be so reliable.

The reason is that the players found something very wrong. Take Bacon, the number one warlock player in the country, as an example. Checking Bacon's WCL data, you will find that he actually scored a high score of 99.9 in the Ulduar raid. With such a high evaluation, almost any group can enter and even the group leader will beg Bacon to join the group to fight Ulduar together. After all, Bacon is also the number one warlock in the country. But players seem to have found a problem.

In another battle record, Bacon's score became very low, and he only scored 60 points in many BOSS battles. As the number one warlock in the country, many people would find it hard to believe that he got such a score, and they might even doubt whether this was the result achieved by Bacon himself. Even if there is a deviation, it is impossible for the deviation to be so high. Take exams as an example. How could a person who gets 100 points every day suddenly only get a passing score in an exam?

If you ignore the score and only look at the data, you will find that the score does not seem to be proportional to the actual output. If Bacon only has 60 points, then the DPS should just be passing. However, Bacon's DPS is far ahead. If this is an assessment gold group, it is estimated that no DPS except Bacon can get gold coins. Even if the assessment is based on 60% DPS, it is estimated that few players can get gold coins. After all, this is really a cliff-like lead.

Therefore, many people have discovered a pattern through testing that the score is proportional to the difficulty of the group copy. That is to say, the higher the difficulty of the group copy, the higher the score players will get in WCL. For ordinary copies, the upper limit may be 60 points. For difficult copies, more points will be obtained, and as the number of players who pass the level increases, everyone's score will also decrease. At this time, the farmers and workers are even more confused. Why does the score decrease as the number of samples increases?

In fact, I didn't believe this rule at first, but when I saw that the player with 0 DPS actually scored 89 points, and the player with more than 6000 DPS only scored 82 points, and the player with more than 7000 DPS only scored 87 points, I couldn't figure out what the WCL scoring standard was. If the scoring is not based on a certain standard, but just based on the difficulty, how can this evaluation be credible?

However, many players may have a question: how to improve WCL scores or DPS? In particular, many players began to envy the high scores on the competitive version, but everyone should remember that the scores on the competitive version are almost impossible to be successfully achieved in a wild group, because the first DPS in the national server may have the support of 24 players, so the cost of rushing for points is extremely high. For ordinary players, it is better to practice skills than rushing for points.

So from the current perspective, if wild groups are only assessed based on a WCL score, I think it is unfair. If players want to raise their WCL scores, they can choose a high-difficulty group dungeon. Even if they have many loopholes in the group dungeon and are even a burden to the group, as long as they pass the level, their score will be high. But what's the use of such a high score in actual group battles? Since it's useless, what's the reference significance of the WCL score?
