By scanning with your mobile phone, you can not only know the specific operating information of each ferry route, but also get services such as positioning navigation, introduction to surrounding attractions, etc. Since the official launch of the "Fly with Love" cloud route WeChat applet in August last year, the cumulative number of users has reached nearly 170,000, providing smart travel convenience for passengers.
On the 80-kilometer Huangpu River from Wusongkou in the north to Minhang in the south, Shanghai Ferry has a total of 17 routes and 34 operating ships. In recent years, with the opening of the public space along the Huangpu River, the ferry has implemented a renovation project. In addition to crossing the river, more and more citizens and tourists use it as a way to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River. Except for some old Shanghainese, foreign tourists and local young people are not familiar with ferries, and ferry workers often receive various consultation calls in their daily work. To this end, the ferry company launched the Cloud Route WeChat applet in August last year through research and careful planning, allowing citizens and passengers to experience the development and changes of the century-old Shanghai ferry through the "smart service" at their fingertips.
Currently, users of the Yunshanghangxian WeChat applet do not need to download the installation package, they can simply scan the QR code to open and access it, realizing "one scan to know the ferry, one scan to know the surrounding area". When it was launched last year, it integrated Shanghai ferry routes and transportation around ferry stations, special attractions, service facilities, operating information, cruise ship terminals and other information. This year, the ferry company has further expanded the functions of the WeChat applet and added the Amap positioning and navigation service. Passengers can choose the destination and route search according to their needs, check public transportation, shopping malls, hospitals, toilets and other places near the ferry, and intelligently calculate the time required to reach the destination.
At present, the ferry company is aiming to create water public transportation with ferry characteristics and actively exploring a new development model combining tourism and transportation. The country's first new energy battery-powered passenger ferry will be officially put into operation this year. In the next step, the ferry company will also expand the functions and applications of the mini program, give full play to the role of digital engine, and innovate digital service measures to make more people understand, identify and love ferries, and meet the travel needs of citizens and passengers through multiple channels.
