From August 15th to 16th, the 40th Anniversary of Testing and Science and Technology Innovation Development Forum was held in Chongqing.
The forum is hosted by China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CAERI") and co-organized by CAERI Testing Engineering Division and National Motor Vehicle Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Chongqing).
More than 200 guests, including leaders and experts from functional departments, industry organizations, universities, and leading enterprises, gathered together to explore the development opportunities of the automotive industry under new industries, new formats, and new models. During the forum, there were not only exchanges of views, but also the release of results, and the launch of multiple laboratories, which was full of practical information.
7 major scientific and technological achievements help the automotive industry accelerate development
The release of results was an important part of the forum. Zhou Jianwen, deputy general manager of the China Automotive Research Institute's Testing Engineering Division, released the scientific and technological achievements of seven projects on site, including "China Physical Signs Series Human Digital Model AC-HUMs", "Chinese Side Impact Barrier AC-MDB", "China Automobile Product Environmental Compliance Management System - CAEMS", "Data Application Model Based on Monitoring Platform", "China Automotive Research Institute Numerical Wind Tunnel CAERI-DWT", "Complex Fluid Environment Simulation Software PartoX", and "Intelligent Chassis Virtual-Real Combination Test Platform".
For example, the AC-HUMs, a Chinese series of human digital models, is the first series of human finite element models in China with completely independent intellectual property rights. The data of this model is completely derived from the Chinese human body, which fits the Chinese population to the greatest extent and has high biological fidelity. The application of this achievement can enable automobile safety evaluation to more realistically restore China's road traffic scenes, realize the safety protection of the Chinese people, and enable the development of safety indexes.
Another example is the CAERI-DWT numerical wind tunnel, which is the first fully automated automotive aerodynamic numerical wind tunnel simulation platform in China based on a full-scale physical wind tunnel. It can greatly improve simulation accuracy, shorten the aerodynamic development cycle of the whole vehicle, and reduce development costs, filling the gap in this field in China. This wind tunnel also marks an important progress in China's automotive aerodynamic simulation and promotes the standardization and normalization of domestic automotive aerodynamic simulation.
Zhou Jianwen said that these achievements, through the innovation chain and industrial chain, jointly promote integration and transformation of results, unleash the effectiveness of innovation-driven development, and provide scientific and technological support and services for leading product performance improvement and technological progress.
A number of laboratories were officially unveiled
In addition to publishing the results, several laboratories were unveiled on site.
Taking the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Traffic Injuries and Vehicle Ergonomics as an example, the laboratory will focus on the key and bottleneck issues in the field of road traffic injury prevention and intelligent vehicle safety, and use advanced technologies such as clinical medicine, vehicle engineering, collision testing, and artificial intelligence to overcome the theory and technology of efficient treatment of road traffic injuries in my country, solve the problem of emergency rescue and disposal at the scene of traffic accidents, and overcome the key mechanisms and risk accurate prediction problems of vehicle intelligent safety collision protection systems, so as to significantly improve the level of intelligent protection and treatment of traffic injuries in my country's military and civilian vehicle safety.
At the scene, Ideal Auto and China Automotive Research Institute announced the establishment of the Ideal Auto Joint Laboratory, aiming to promote the sharing of technical resources between the two parties, accelerate the research and development and application of automotive technology, and enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises. At the same time, through talent training and technological innovation, it will promote the formulation of industry standards and help the transformation and upgrading of the industry. This move will help solve the industry's technical problems, enhance the brand image, provide strong support for the sustainable development of the automotive industry, and achieve the deep integration of production, learning, research and application.
In addition, the compilation of the "China Automotive Industry and Technology Development Report" was officially launched at the meeting. The report will systematically, completely and comprehensively discuss the current status, existing problems and development trends of China's automotive industry and related technologies in combination with the national strategic development direction and industrial technology development trends. It is an important reference for all sectors of society to understand the overall situation and development trend of China's automotive industry and technology.
Multiple activities facilitated “collision of ideas”
On the 15th, the forum held a symposium on innovation and development. The guests discussed new quality productivity, planned the future of the industry, and explored how to break through the siege under the guidance of new quality productivity and reshape the new momentum and new advantages for industrial development.
On the afternoon of the 16th, the forum held a science and technology talent forum with the theme of "Gathering Talents, Researching Trends, and Discussing Development". Through interactive exchanges at the round-table forum, the forum strengthened employees' understanding of the government's talent policies and scientific and technological innovation policies, while helping employees to better identify their own positioning and promote their own development.
At the same time, a "Technical Seminar" was held on the afternoon of the 16th, focusing on topics such as intelligent networking of domestic and foreign commercial vehicles, green and low-carbon regulatory requirements and countermeasures, development of thermal management system performance evaluation equipment, and vehicle safety improvement. The seminar discussed how to respond to the challenges faced in the testing field and jointly promote the continuous advancement and widespread application of testing technology.
Zhou Yulin, Party Secretary and Chairman of CARI, said that at present, CARI is actively becoming an integrated third-party service organization for testing and certification that leads the development of the industry.
