Recently, the problem of "difficulty in entering the community" for riders has attracted much attention from the society. Meituan has actively contacted various parties to accelerate the "Rider-Friendly Community" project. As of mid-August, it has covered more than 500 communities in more than 20 cities. In Guiyang Huaguoyuan, "the largest community in Asia", the food delivery platform negotiated with the property to take the lead in opening a green channel for riders in some buildings. Riders can ride into the community through the underground garage, saving an average of 5-10 minutes per order. In addition to large communities actively joining the "Rider-Friendly" family, Meituan is currently working with leading domestic property management companies to jointly develop a solution for riders to access the community, helping the access control system to quickly identify riders and allow them to pass, thereby improving the efficiency of rider delivery.
Since the beginning of this year, under the guidance of competent departments across the country, Meituan's "Rider-Friendly Communities" have accelerated the expansion of coverage, and jointly explored access solutions tailored to local conditions with local communities to open doors and show the way for riders. In Guiyang, Huaguoyuan, "the largest community in Asia", has a large area and dense buildings, and some areas implement pedestrian and vehicle separation, which requires riders to enter on foot. Riders have long faced pain points such as time-consuming parking and difficulty entering the community. Under the overall planning of the Nanming District Committee of Guiyang City, the local streets organized Meituan to discuss solutions with community properties, shopping malls, etc., to provide riders with special ground parking areas. For riders who need to deliver long distances within the community, some buildings have opened green channels from underground garages to the community, and riders can go directly to the destination floor from the garage elevator.

Wang Jiehong, a rider at the Huaguoyuan station, said, "In the past, when delivering food at Huaguoyuan, it took a lot of time just to find a parking space outside, and we had to walk into many buildings to deliver the food. Now some buildings can enter directly from the underground garage, which saves an average of 5-10 minutes per order, and users are more satisfied. We will also pay attention to complying with the traffic regulations in the community and consciously drive slowly." Recently, the Guiyang Social Work Department and the Market Supervision Bureau organized a "Rider-Friendly Community" symposium for platforms, distribution stations and properties to listen to suggestions from all parties and summarize exploration experiences, with plans to promote the Huaguoyuan model to more communities.
Since the beginning of summer, Meituan's "Rider-Friendly Community" has actively coordinated and linked forces from all parties to promote various places to speed up the pace of solving the problem of "difficult entry" for riders. In Yinchuan, under the guidance of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Meituan worked with property companies to implement measures such as changing walking to cycling, adding takeaway cabinets and special parking areas, and solving the problems of difficulty in entry, parking, and picking up meals for takeaway brothers in 225 communities and 39 business districts in the city; the Xiangyang Market Supervision and Administration Bureau took the lead in organizing takeaway platforms and community properties to negotiate, and allowed riders to ride into the community on the premise of ensuring safe and orderly traffic; in Chengdu, Meituan cooperated with four large communities in Caiqiao Street to pilot the expansion of the single entrance for takeaway riders to all entrances.
At present, the "Rider-Friendly Community" project has gradually formed a collaborative mode of clarifying action programs, maintaining normal communication, and opening up information systems in practice. In Shenzhen, Longhua District has built a "Rider-Friendly Ecological City" throughout the district. The District Party Committee Social Work Department, the Federation of Trade Unions, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau and other departments have jointly issued a construction plan, listed an action list, and promoted the establishment of regular communication channels such as seminars in local streets, communities, properties, and distribution sites, improved basic equipment and facilities in the community, and established a long-term mechanism with clear division of labor, efficient collaboration, and smooth communication. For large communities that need to verify the identity of people entering and leaving, Meituan is currently conducting technical docking with domestic leading property companies to jointly develop a rider community access solution to facilitate the access control system to quickly identify riders and allow them to pass. This solution will make it possible for large communities to be opened to riders in batches, and speed up the solution to the problem of "difficult entry" for riders in various places.
