IT Home reported on August 10 that Sonos CEO Patrick Spence attended the third quarter earnings conference call.Said to postpone the release of two new products and focus on fixing App problems

IT Home translated part of Spence's speech in the meeting as follows:

Our focus and priority is the app experience, and we will delay the release of two major new products originally planned for Q4 until our app experience reaches the level of quality that we, our customers, and our partners have come to expect from Sonos. We will not slow down the pace of updates until we resolve the app issues and once again achieve high customer satisfaction.

Spence previously published an apology blog post, promising to accelerate the improvement of the new version of the Sonos app in 2024. Spence said that Sonos’ current top priority is to fix the errors in the new version of the Sonos app and improve the user experience.

Technology media The Verge believes that the two products whose release has been postponed should include a new soundbar product code-named Lasso, which uses completely redesigned components and speaker drivers and will perform better in terms of bass.
