The 38th National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition was jointly sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the All-China Women's Federation and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. More than 700 young people and science and technology counselors from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as more than 60 specially invited representatives from 20 countries around the world participated in the competition. In addition to organizing the review activities, the competition also held a series of exhibition and exchange activities such as the theme exhibition of the spirit of scientists, the theme reports of academicians and experts, and international youth cultural exchange activities to create a youth science and technology carnival.

Since its inception, the competition has been one of the largest, highest-level and most influential youth science and technology education activities in my country. It is not only a platform for displaying and exchanging scientific and technological innovation achievements, but also an important stage for stimulating young people's interest in science and cultivating innovative spirit. This year's competition was particularly fierce under the background of competition system reform and reduction of award quotas, but the contestants still brought many eye-catching scientific and technological innovation projects to everyone with full enthusiasm and outstanding creativity.

Liu Lan, a teacher at Nanyang Experimental School, won the third prize in the 38th National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition and was named one of the “Top Ten Science and Technology Teachers in Henan Province”.

Liu Lan's science and education program introduced advanced STEAM education concepts, adopted the PBL education model, constructed the entire project framework from an interdisciplinary perspective, and divided it into three sub-projects that progressed step by step, conveying subject knowledge and cultivating students' practical ability and social responsibility. It stood out in provincial and municipal competitions and was recommended to participate in the national competition.

With the successful conclusion of this competition, Nanyang Experimental School, with full honor and encouragement, once again embarks on a new journey of learning, and continues to pursue and strive!

Nanyang Experimental School has always adhered to the school-running philosophy of "for tomorrow", fully implemented the educational policy of "moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor", and built a diverse and distinctive "3F" curriculum system. The science and innovation courses are rich and colorful, and courses such as drones, intelligent robots, and 3D printing allow students to understand the power of advanced technology. Students from science and innovation clubs have won awards in competitions at all levels many times. The school is a national youth artificial intelligence activity feature unit and a Henan primary and secondary school maker education demonstration school. Nanyang Experimental School will take this national competition award as an opportunity to further enhance the science and innovation literacy of teachers and students and lay the foundation for a better tomorrow for children.
