from 1995 to 2024, dai lina has been working in the front line of early childhood education for nearly 30 years. when asked why, dai lina said, "it is a very happy thing to see the children grow up healthily and happily."
dai lina is the principal of the third experimental kindergarten in zhongshan district, liupanshui city. looking back on her journey as a preschool teacher, dai lina said frankly, "hard work is accompanied by happiness."
in 1995, after graduating from technical secondary school, dai lina was assigned to the then railway kindergarten as a kindergarten teacher. when she first started working, she loved the innocent and lovely children and thought that singing, dancing and playing games with them was a happy and simple thing. however, when she really stepped into the field of early childhood education, she deeply felt the heavy responsibility on her shoulders.

"children are pure and innocent like blank paper. the picture of their lives has a lot to do with their teachers." dai lina believes that preschool teachers should help children develop good behavioral habits and establish a sense of right and wrong for them. "preschool teachers should not only preach, but also practice what they preach."
dai lina was worried that she would not be able to do the job because her major was not suitable for her. so she spent almost all her time after get off work on studying. she practiced piano and painting skills, read a lot of books, and studied knowledge related to preschool education...
hard work pays off, and dai lina's perseverance has brought her a lot of rewards. from subject teacher to class teacher, from grade teaching and research group leader to childcare director, the change of positions is a vivid reflection of continuous self-improvement. in teaching and scientific research, dai lina also completed projects such as "practical research on promoting the all-round development of young children based on effective integration of regional activities". in terms of mentoring, dai lina has trained one provincial backbone teacher and 15 provincial, municipal and district excellent teachers.
dai lina said that the transformation from a "layman" to an "insider" was the first important node in her career, and the preparation for the construction of the third experimental kindergarten in zhongshan district seven years ago was the second.
"it was difficult!" dai lina said with emotion when recalling the preparation work. in july 2017, she and three colleagues were assigned to the third experimental kindergarten in zhongshan district to undertake the preparation work.
"at that time, some construction projects of the kindergarten had not been completed, and the teachers and equipment had not been fully equipped. there were only two months before the kindergarten was opened, and we had not done any related preparatory work. we were anxious when we thought of the children waiting to go to school, but we felt we could not move forward," dai lina recalled.
due to time constraints, no matter how difficult the journey was, they had to set out immediately. dai lina and her colleagues used their summer break to learn about relevant policies and contacted relevant units in a timely manner to complete funding approval, ensuring the orderly progress of the project, smooth equipment procurement, and timely recruitment of personnel.
"in order to save money, we did all the cleaning and environmental design of the kindergarten ourselves. everyone was very busy during that time. many times, the teachers returned home late at night and the children at home had already fallen asleep," said dai lina.
two months later, the kindergarten opened as scheduled. seeing the comfortable and clean kindergarten and the smiles on the children's faces, dai lina and the teachers felt that all the hard work was worth it.
municipal first aid education pilot school, municipal demonstration kindergarten, national football featured kindergarten, provincial "kindergarten-primary school transition" pilot school, municipal advanced education unit... the entrance of the kindergarten is full of honors won over the years. but in dai lina's view, a single flower does not make spring. how to let rural children also enjoy high-quality educational resources is a question she often thinks about.
"the round trip is about 4 hours, but no one is tired. everyone thinks this is a very meaningful thing." in 2022, after learning that the jinpen township central kindergarten in zhongshan district urgently needs teacher training, dai lina organized more than 10 teachers to go to jinpen township for guidance and assistance many times. whether it is the overall planning of the park or professional skills training, dai lina and the teachers will share their experience in running schools and teaching without reservation. today, the jinpen township central kindergarten has a brand new look, and the educational level is not only higher, but also the connotation and characteristics are more prominent.

it is worth mentioning that dai lina has served as a teaching expert and review expert many times, and often went to liuzhi, panzhou, shuicheng and other places to conduct special lectures and evaluation guidance. at the same time, she also carried out radiation and leading work through platforms such as the famous teacher studio, and carried out admission guidance and special training for public and private kindergartens in the region. through teaching, research and training, we can change the "primary schoolization" tendency of private kindergartens, standardize the operation of private kindergartens, help private kindergartens improve their school-running level, and use practical actions to help the popularization, inclusiveness, safety and high-quality development of preschool education.
looking back on her 30 years of early childhood education, dai lina has always believed that education is a matter of conscience, especially early childhood education. she said that she would continue to improve the management level of the third experimental kindergarten, continue to give full play to its advantages, and help improve the management quality of weak kindergartens in the region, so that more children can enjoy high-quality preschool education and start happily.
