concentrate efforts to solve the problem of "difficulty in entering public kindergartens". since 2020, the city has added 74 public kindergartens (9 in 2020, 34 in 2021, 21 in 2022, and 10 in 2023), recruited 3,400 public kindergarten teachers (637 in 2020, 855 in 2021, 1,128 in 2022, and 780 in 2023), and the number of public kindergartens approved by the city's institutional establishment departments has reached 277, accounting for 41.9% of the total number of kindergartens in the city. the continuous expansion of public preschool education resources has promoted a new round of optimization and integration of urban and rural preschool education resources. the proportion of high-quality kindergartens in the city has increased from 49% in 2020 to 75% in 2023.
make every effort to expand the supply of high-quality places in the compulsory education stage. since 2021, 73 primary and secondary schools have been newly built, renovated and expanded, and more than 55,000 new places have been added. implement actions to improve the weak links and enhance the capacity of compulsory education, complete 665 campus school building projects, 1,679 facilities and equipment procurement projects, and simultaneously improve the conditions for running schools in urban and rural primary and secondary schools. in particular, in response to the prominent contradiction between the enrollment demand in the central urban area and the actual capacity of schools, the efforts to build, renovate and expand primary and secondary schools have been increased year by year to resolve the problems of "large class sizes" and "large school sizes". in recent years, new schools such as chongqing road middle school, longfengyuan middle school, beiyuan primary school, kejiyuan middle school, century middle school, shenghu primary school, shanghai road primary school, and changguo primary school have been built and put into use; renovation and expansion projects such as qirun primary school, district experimental primary school, and lianchi school have been implemented to smoothly cope with the "peak" of enrollment in the starting grades of primary schools, and further optimize the layout of educational resources between the new and old urban areas in the central urban area.
