beijing business daily (reporter liu xiaomeng) on september 5, according to the latest research report released by trendforce, driven by hybrid vehicles (including hev and phev), the global electric vehicle traction inverter installation volume reached 6.45 million units in the second quarter of this year, a quarterly increase of 24%. among them, the installation volume of phev (plug-in hybrid vehicle) increased by 26% month-on-month, the largest increase among all types of electric vehicle power modes, and the installation volume of bev (pure electric vehicle) ranked second with a quarterly increase of 18%.

at the same time, the research report shows that from the perspective of the supply chain, byd's self-developed traction inverter market share increased significantly to 17% in the second quarter due to the hot sales of phev models, ranking first with japanese manufacturer denso. in addition, china's inovance technology's market share increased by 1% quarterly, while huawei's remained unchanged. overall, in the second quarter of this year, the global tier 1 (first-tier supplier of automakers) inverter installation performance was still more prominent among chinese manufacturers.

trendforce said that with the arrival of the traditional third quarter peak season, major automakers will launch a number of popular models, and the chinese market will continue to be the main driving force for the growth of global electric vehicles. it is estimated that the overall electric vehicle traction inverter market will maintain a quarterly growth of 15%-25% in the third quarter of this year.
