the jingxi ancient road is a representative of linear cultural heritage. shan jixiang said, "in the past, heritage was mostly point-like, with a bridge and a tower being a monument. today, more and more attention is paid to linear heritage, such as the silk road and the grand canal. the jingxi ancient road is also a linear cultural heritage, running through the entire mentougou area. there are 38 sections with a total length of about 684 kilometers. these ancient roads, which are densely woven between the mountains and rivers of mentougou and run from east to west and from north to south, are divided into commercial roads, military roads, and incense roads according to their main uses. the relatively well-preserved ones include the xishan dalu ancient road, the yuhe ancient road, the miaofeng mountain ancient incense road, the zhaitangchuan military and commercial travel ancient road, and the baihua mountain incense road."

liuliqu village in mentougou is a famous historical and cultural village in china, known as the "hometown of chinese royal colored glass". it has a history of glass making since the liao dynasty. it has been responsible for the production of royal colored glass during the yuan, ming and qing dynasties.

shan jixiang said that his fate with liuliqu started very early. "when i was the director of the palace museum, i was very familiar with liuliqu. because the liuliqu kiln is not only a cultural relic, but also a production unit that is still in use. every time the forbidden city is renovated, the glazed tiles fired in liuliqu village are used. what makes me very happy is that with the strong promotion of the mentougou district party committee and district government and the strong support of relevant municipal departments, the former glazed tile factory has become a new internet celebrity check-in place, and a liuli cultural and creative industrial park has been built. it has become a base for the inheritance of glazed firing skills and continues to decorate the splendid picture of the capital. liuliqu village also has liuli star valley, liuli museum, etc., where you can experience a different kind of glazed culture, feel the cultural heritage of traditional villages, and feel the new vitality of new rural areas."
