Beijing time, August 27th, today the Chinese Football Association officially issued a penalty announcement, imposing additional penalties on Beijing Guoan player Zhang Yuning, who was previously given a red card for elbowing in the league.

In the 23rd round of the Chinese Super League on August 16, Beijing Guoan faced Zhejiang team at home. In the 87th minute, Zhang Yuning elbowed his opponent in the penalty area. After VAR review, the referee directly showed him a red card and sent him off. At the end of the game, Guoan drew 0-0 with Zhejiang team.

In the announcement, the Chinese Football Association believes that according to the referee's report, match supervision report, video, party statements and hearings, when the game was in the 85th minute, Beijing Guoan Football Club's No. 9 player Zhang Yuning committed violent behavior without the ball and hit the opponent's face with his elbow. The referee showed him a red card and sent him off the field.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Chinese Football Association has imposed the following penalties in accordance with Article 53 of the Disciplinary Code of the Chinese Football Association:

1. Beijing Guoan Football Club's No. 9 player Zhang Yuning is suspended for 3 games;

2. A fine of RMB 30,000.

The above penalties should be implemented in accordance with Article 17 of the Disciplinary Code of the Chinese Football Association.

This penalty decision shall take effect immediately from the date of its publication.

Previously, Guoan player Li Ke was suspended for four games and fined 40,000 yuan for violent behavior.
