On August 26, the Weibo account of Yuan Qicong, a car blogger with 2 million followers yesterday, was banned. His homepage showed that "due to violation of relevant laws and regulations, the user is currently banned."

It is understood that Yuan Qicong previously released a high-speed slope test video of the Xiangjie S9, saying that the vehicle "could not maintain straight driving after driving down the slope, and the entire vehicle leaned to one side", expressing his disappointment with the Xiangjie S9.

In response to the test conclusion, Xiangjie Auto issued a statement: The conclusion is not objective, rigorous, and misleading to consumers.

Xiangjie Automobile clarified as follows:

According to data from the national monitoring platform and combined with video footage analysis, this "test" (29:14-29:19 in the evaluation video) took place at around 12:42 on August 16, 2024, with the vehicle traveling at a speed of 63km/h.

Before the wheels were lifted off the ground, the throttle was opened to 28.8%, the steering wheel turned 23 degrees to the right, and a torque of 1.96 Nm in the same direction was detected; then, the steering wheel turned to the left and returned to center.

If the vehicle's steering wheel turns due to its own reasons, the direction of the steering wheel rotation should be opposite to the direction of the detection torque. In this "test", the driver took the initiative to intervene and manually turned the steering wheel to the right, and then corrected it to the left, causing the vehicle to yaw.

After repeated tests under the same conditions, the Xingjie S9 was able to maintain straight driving without the driver actively intervening in the steering wheel.
