In the past, in wheel hub production, the mold was mainly cooled by air cooling, which required a high-power blower, high power consumption and high noise. Can water cooling replace air cooling? In order to overcome this problem, Wen Zhiang led a group of post-90s engineers to launch a two-year technical breakthrough and developed a new water-cooled mold, which was used on the production line. This not only achieved energy conservation and environmental protection, but also further reduced production costs, saving the company more than 6 million yuan a year.
Wen Zhiang was not satisfied with this. During a mold inspection, he found that when the mold was cooled down, the casting cooled unevenly due to differences in heat conduction efficiency, which could affect production stability.
"This defect must be improved!" Wen Zhiang made up his mind and fell into deep thinking again, while eating, exercising, sleeping... until he found inspiration when using a common daily necessity. Wen Zhiang re-optimized the pipeline layout inside the mold to ensure that the cooling medium can flow evenly through each key area of ​​the mold, greatly improving the cooling effect.
Today, the new water-cooled mold has been fully promoted and applied in the production line, and is at the advanced level in the industry, making great contributions to the company's cost reduction and efficiency improvement, improving the on-site production environment and the company's green production. "I have been curious about machinery and manufacturing since I was a child, and I like to disassemble and assemble various items. After entering university, I chose mechanical design and automation as my major, hoping to turn this love into a career." During his university years, Wen Zhiang interned in mold design and development in Dongguan. After graduating in 2019, he successfully joined Changsha Deka Technology Co., Ltd.
"When I first started working, I was also a 'self-centered' person. I didn't like to participate in activities and wasn't good at expressing myself. During a training session at the company, I gradually opened up to others with the encouragement of my teacher." Wen Zhiang said, "When you are young, you should be brave enough to try and take challenges. Don't be afraid of trial and error."

Through self-study and practice, he gradually mastered professional skills such as mold structure design, 3D modeling, mold programming, simulation analysis, etc., and applied theoretical knowledge to practical operations, constantly trying to break through himself.
