Leifeng.com's "New Intelligent Driving" learned that Sanshou Technology, a startup project secretly launched by Xiaopeng Motors co-founder He Tao, has recently received its first batch of financing, with Sequoia Capital participating in the investment, and is valued at tens of millions of US dollars.

Several sources told Leifeng.com (official account: Leifeng.com) that the field that Sanshou Technology has entered is somewhat different from the robotics track previously reported by the media. Currently, the company's main product is smart motorcycles, with a focus on overseas markets.

It is reported that He Tao brought out four core backbones from Xiaopeng to start a business together, including former Xiaopeng vice president Jiao Qingchun, former Xiaopeng senior exterior design director Zhang Lihua and others.

According to Qichacha, He Tao is the actual controller of Sanshou Technology and holds 70% of the shares. Jiao Qingchun is the legal person of Sanshou Technology and holds the remaining 30% of the shares. Zhang Lihua serves as the supervisor.

He Tao is one of the founders of Xiaopeng, and he and another co-founder Xia Heng founded Xiaopeng in 2014. In 2017, He Xiaopeng officially joined and served as the chairman of Xiaopeng, while Xia Heng and He Tao served as president and vice president respectively.

During the Xiaopeng period, He Tao was responsible for supply chain and sales-related work. Before founding Xiaopeng, He Tao worked at GAC Research Institute and established the first generation of autonomous driving team at GAC Research Institute.

In March this year, He Tao and Xia Heng officially withdrew from Xiaopeng's core management and became Xiaopeng's lifelong honorary consultants. At that time, there was news that the two had started a business in the field of robotics.

He Tao's entrepreneurial partners Jiao Qingchun and Zhang Lihua also worked for GAC before joining Xiaopeng.

At Xiaopeng, Jiao Qingchun served as the head of the Automobile Technology Center and the H platform, leading the research and development of Xiaopeng's complete vehicles. The only car that has been mass-produced on the H platform so far is the Xiaopeng X9. Zhang Lihua is Xiaopeng's 27th employee and one of the main designers of the P7.

He Tao entered the smart motorcycle track with his sights on the electrification and intelligent transformation of motorcycles.

Another player in this field is Great Wall Motors. In April this year, Great Wall Motors launched its high-end motorcycle brand "Great Wall Soul". The first model is equipped with OTA remote upgrade, intelligent voice control, rear warning and blind spot monitoring and other intelligent technologies.
