Space economy concept stocks continue to be active

The first commercial spacewalk by humans boosted the A-share commercial aerospace sector. On August 22, Ruyi Group hit the daily limit in the afternoon, while Pathfinder, Longhua New Materials, Sanfu Outdoor, Fenghuo Electronics, and Xinxing Equipment hit the daily limit, and Aerospace Morning Light, Aerospace Huanyu, Hangyu Micro, and Aerospace Technology rose by more than 5%.

According to the news, the first commercial spacewalk by humans, promoted by SpaceX, will kick off on August 26. On August 19, local time, the four crew members of SpaceX's "Polaris Dawn" arrived in Florida, and they will perform the first private "spacewalk" mission on August 26. This is an adventure that has only been completed by government-supported astronauts before, and it will be the farthest flight from the earth by humans since NASA's "Apollo Program". SpaceX founder Musk said it would be an "epic feat" and described the mission as an "early pioneer in the interstellar age." If the project goes well, it is expected to send hundreds of people to Earth orbit, the moon, and even Mars in the future.

Seres plummets

On August 22, the performance of the automobile sector in the capital market fluctuated. Seres fell more than 7% during the day and closed at 76.95 yuan. By the close of trading, the share prices of many automobile manufacturers such as Jiangling Motors, JAC Motors, Lifan Technology, and Ankai Bus also fell.

Recently, the name of Seres Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. was changed to Chongqing Wenjie Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. According to Qichacha information, the company was established in 2019, with Liu Wei as the legal representative, a registered capital of 50 million yuan, and is wholly owned by Chongqing Jinkang Power New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Seres. Foreign investment information shows that the company has established sales and service companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Tianjin, Jiangsu and other places.

According to the 2023 annual report of SERES, the main business of SERES Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. is the sales of automobiles and auto parts.

It is worth noting that Seres has been making a lot of moves recently. On the evening of August 9, Seres issued an announcement stating that the company intends to acquire 19.355% of Seres Automotive's equity held by Chongqing Jinxin Equity Investment Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership), a minority shareholder of its holding subsidiary Seres Automotive, for a transaction amount of approximately RMB 1.329 billion. After the completion of this transaction, Seres' shareholding in Seres Automotive will increase from 80.645% to 100%.

According to the announcement, the main business of SERES Automotive and its subsidiaries is the research and development, manufacturing, sales and services of new energy vehicles and core component assemblies. Its main products include the AITO M9, M7 and M5 series models.

It is worth noting that on June 25 this year, the share price of Seres hit the daily limit. On that day, there was a market rumor that "a fund manager cut his position in Seres to cope with the liquidity pressure of the continuous decline in photovoltaic stocks, causing the stock price to hit the daily limit." In response to this, a person related to the fund replied to the media: "It's a rumor."
