This morning, the Xicheng District Urban Management Committee introduced when being a guest on the "Traffic Talk" program that the district plans to carry out an overall engineering renovation of Di'anmenwai Street to alleviate traffic congestion around the Drum Tower Scenic Area.

Xicheng District is rich in tourism resources, which attracts a large number of tourists. However, the traffic carrying capacity around some scenic spots is limited. In response to this situation, Xicheng District has vigorously carried out comprehensive traffic management around scenic spots.

In response to the parking order problem of non-motor vehicles near the north gate of Beihai, the District Urban Management Committee's Traffic Comprehensive Management Center marked parking areas on the sidewalk near the north gate; coordinated with shared bicycle operators to increase the frequency of shared bicycle removal during peak hours; the Shichahai Street Urban Management Team strengthened personnel inspections and managed the parking order of non-motor vehicles in the area; and set up multiple entry and exit routes to guide tourists.BGuidance signs are set up at the entrance of Prince Gong's Mansion to guide tourists to go to the entrance of Prince Gong's Mansion from Longtoujing Street to avoid conflicts among the flow of people.

In the next step, Xicheng District will continue to standardize the setting of non-motor vehicle parking areas in scenic areas, strengthen the frequency of law enforcement inspections and the intensity of investigations and punishments, and arrange special personnel to patrol during holidays.

In response to the congestion around the Drum Tower Scenic Area, on the one hand, we will work with the traffic control department to strengthen traffic law enforcement management measures in the Drum Tower intersection area, strengthen the maintenance and guidance of pedestrian and vehicle flows around the Drum Tower area, and promptly persuade and punish illegally parked vehicles to leave, so as to alleviate the traffic congestion on Di'anmen Outer Street.-We analyzed and demonstrated the functional positioning and design standards of the Drum Tower, proposed detailed design guidelines for Di'anmenwai Street, and planned to carry out an overall engineering renovation of Di'anmenwai Street.
