At 12:11 on August 16, the DJ1802 test EMU departed from Yinchuan Station and drove all the way to Huinong South Station for a timetable parameter test.Since then, the new Baotou-Yinchuan Railway Huinong-Yinchuan section has been built(hereinafter referred to as Huiyin Section of Baotou-Yinchuan High-speed Railway)The joint debugging and testing work has officially entered the operational test stage, and the countdown to the opening of the entire line has begun.

The Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway starts from Baotou Station in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, passes through Baotou City, Bayannur City, Ordos City, Wuhai City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shizuishan City and Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and connects to Yinchuan Station. The main line is about 519 kilometers long with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The main line from Baotou to Huinong is about 420 kilometers long and is under orderly construction.
The test run this time is from Huinong to Yinchuan. The main line is about 99 kilometers long. The line starts from Huinong South Station in Shizuishan City, passes through Dawukou District and Pingluo County in Shizuishan City, and finally reaches Yinchuan City after passing about 2.6 kilometers west of the Shahu Scenic Area, and connects to Yinchuan Station.There are 4 stations along the line: Huinong South, Shizuishan, Shahu and Yinchuan.Among them, Yinchuan Station is an existing station, and the other stations are newly built stations.

The construction of this section started in October 2019. Since entering the joint debugging and testing stage on July 15 this year, the Lanzhou Bureau of China Railway has organized the operation of various test trains such as inspection trains, comprehensive inspection trains, EMUs, and double-unit EMUs. It has completed inspection tests and full-line tests at different speed levels. Various test data show that this line meets the design standard requirements.
After the Huiyin section of the Baoji-Yinchuan High-speed Railway is put into operation, it will be connected with the Yinxi High-speed Railway and the Yinlan High-speed Railway. Shizuishan City will then be connected to the national high-speed railway network.After the completion of the Baoji-Yinchuan high-speed railway, all of Ningxia's high-speed channels leading to various parts of the country will be opened, further meeting passengers' needs for fast travel and creating more convenient conditions for the coordinated development of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos Economic Zone, Ningxia Yellow River Economic Zone, and Lanzhou-Baiyin Economic Zone.
