Recently, some American media and politicians have been constantly hyping up the so-called doping issue, smearing Chinese swimmers and extending their political manipulation hands into the arena of competitive sports.
This is a completely unfounded accusation against Chinese athletes. According to the FINA communique, the Chinese swimming team underwent the most intensive testing during the organization's pre-game large-scale doping tests on athletes participating in the Paris Olympics. Each person was tested an average of 21 times in more than half a year, which was the highest number of tests per capita in the world. Within 10 days of arriving in France, Chinese athletes underwent nearly 200 tests by the World Anti-Doping Agency, and no problems were found.
While the United States uses "long-arm jurisdiction" and doping to attack athletes from other countries, it is extremely "double-standard" towards its own athletes. Reuters previously reported that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency has allowed athletes who take doping to continue to compete without accepting punishment and act as "informants" for many years. The U.S. practice of "being lenient with itself and strict with others" has fully exposed the true face of its "double standards" to the international community.
