As night falls, Beihai Park puts on its dazzling "evening dress".Every Friday and Saturday, the iconic landscapes such as the White Pagoda, Yilan Hall, Five Dragon Pavilion, and Xiaoxitian Temple are illuminated at night. Under the reflection of the gorgeous lights, the ancient buildings in the night are shining and exquisite. At 19:00, melodious folk music can be heard at the Five Dragon Pavilion and the main entrance of Jingxinzhai.
This year, free folk music performances will be held on weekends for citizens to enjoy. The melodious tunes of traditional musical instruments and the surrounding beautiful scenery complement each other, bringing a different kind of fun to the park.
At this time, another cultural activity was held in the Jingxinzhai in the garden. Mr. Liu and his wife came from Wukesong specifically for the performance of Yin Jingxin. "I used to go to the garden during the day, and I didn't know what it was like at night. Later, I heard from the children that there were performances here at night, so I bought tickets to watch it today."
Guided by the staff, the tourists entered the garden. In front of the main hall, a palace etiquette welcoming dance was in progress. The actors were dressed in Qing Dynasty palace costumes, imitating palace etiquette, and walked slowly, as if bringing the audience into the Qing Dynasty palace. At this time, the melodious sound of the zither echoed in their ears, and the tourists moved to Yunqinzhai to listen to the guzheng music "Spring River Moon Night".
Visitors can enjoy the classic excerpt "Dream in the Garden" from the Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion" amid the gurgling water and the changing lights and shadows in the west wing of Jingxinzhai. Going further in, on the Xiaoyudai Bridge, dancers danced gracefully with umbrellas, covering their faces with them, sometimes holding them high, sometimes opening and closing them. The dance "Rain Shatters Jiangnan" was intoxicating. "It's really beautiful." Many tourists raised their phones to take pictures of the wonderful moments.
The Zhenluan Pavilion above the Qinquan Corridor is like a blooming lotus, and Emperor Qianlong once praised it in a poem "Lotus Flowers Flood the Pearl Palace". The performances performed here are also wonderful, including "Jinghong Dance" and Sichuan Opera "Face Changing".
"I have never seen the royal gardens after nightfall, the pavilions and towers in the twilight, the song "Spring River Moon Night", the piece "Dream in the Garden", the dance of the stunning swans, all of this makes the sultry weather gradually feel cool." A netizen commented.

Wang Song, deputy director of Beihai Park, said that starting from July 29, the evening cultural event will be added to Tuesday and Wednesday nights, which means that four nights a week, citizens and tourists can enjoy a cultural feast in Beihai Park.
"The Beihai Garden has a history of more than 800 years and is a masterpiece among Chinese imperial gardens. Jingxinzhai is the most exquisite garden in the garden of Beihai and is known as the 'Small Garden of Emperor Qianlong'."
Wang Song said that this year, "Seal·Meditation" will continue to launch the in-depth experience activity of "traditional cultural performance + immersive garden tour". In more than 40 minutes, tourists can visit the characteristic attractions of Jingxinzhai, such as Yunqinzhai, Jingxinzhai, Zhenluan Pavilion, Qinquan Gallery, Baosu Book House, etc. "We have also carefully selected some traditional cultural repertoires that citizens love, so that everyone can watch performances and have tea while visiting the garden."

The park at night is not only a place to escape the heat and cool down, but also a place to gain knowledge through exploration. This past Saturday, a "Fragrant Hill Wonderful Night" was held in Fragrant Hill Park.
In the evening, families gathered at the east gate of the park, led by teachers and staff to start this wonderful experience. Everyone first came to the indoors, and under the teacher's explanation, with the help of PPT pictures and insect specimens, they learned about the basic knowledge of Xiangshan's geographical location, climate characteristics, and native species. Afterwards, the teacher emphasized precautions and safety tips, and distributed reflective straps, flashlights and other tools. They were divided into two groups and headed into the mountains.
As soon as they entered the forest, the children's interest was immediately aroused. They carefully looked for creatures distributed on the roadside, waterside, trees, eaves, etc. Once they found one, they immediately called the teacher and other friends. Everyone gathered together and the teacher explained what kind of creature it was, what habits it had, etc. Not only the children, but also the parents listened carefully.
As the sky got darker, there were more and more insects and small creatures, and the children became more excited. "Teacher, there is a frog here. Is it the Oriental bell toad you just talked about? Its color is really similar to this stone. You can't tell it without looking carefully." "Teacher, I found this cicada, but why does it look a little different?" "Everyone be careful, there is a millipede here, don't step on it." The children looked carefully for a while, and then surrounded the teacher with all kinds of questions. It took a lot of time to walk a short section of mountain road. Unknowingly, more than two hours had passed.
This year, Yuyuantan Park will also hold the "Summer Night Exploration" science event every Friday from 19:00 to 21:00 from July 19 to August 23.

Visit mountain lakes at night to observe animals and plants
Xiangshan Park, in collaboration with a professional museum and study institution, held the "Xiangshan Wonderful Night" event for the first time in 2015, and has now built this event into an important summer brand project. In order to ensure the effect, the activity recruits 15 to 20 families each time, and almost every session is full and in short supply. "Fragrant Hills Park is the natural mountain park closest to the urban area in Beijing, with a well-preserved natural ecology, rich and diverse species, and complete service facilities. We just want to make good use of these resources to keep children away from mobile phones, computers and other electronic products, walk into nature, and personally feel the wonders of nature. Since the launch of this activity, we have made many attempts and summaries. The current activity retains the most popular "night exploration" link, selects the Nanshan route with the richest resources, and presents the essence of the wonderful night to the participants." said Xu Yinping, head of the publicity department of Fragrant Hills Park.
In the "Summer Night Exploration" science event at Yuyuantan Park, the park's science staff led visitors to use flashlights and other tools to observe the park's nocturnal animals and plants, such as fireflies, frogs, nocturnal insects, etc., and explained night ecology knowledge on the spot, allowing participants to understand the habits and survival methods of different organisms. In addition, the park also combined the summer night appreciation cultural event - the Oracle Bone Script Cultural Exhibition, using ancient characters as the entry point to lead visitors to understand the oracle bone script related to insects.

Beijing is bustling at night in summer. In Taoranting Park, night tours are popular with people, featuring a lively atmosphere.
"Mom, this is the fan I made. Isn't it beautiful?" At the Huguang Market, a little girl took a check-in photo with a lacquer fan in hand, with the pavilion by the lake as the background. This lacquer fan, which is loved by many young people and called "so dreamy", is actually very simple to make: first drip the prepared traditional lacquer into the water, then stir to disperse the lines, let the pigment spread naturally on the water surface, and finally sink the fan into the water, swing it and lift it up, so that the lacquer leaves ripples on the fan surface, and a non-legacy lacquer fan with a very traditional Chinese aesthetic is done.
During the production process, the fan enters the water at different speeds, angles, and is shaken in different ways, which will leave corresponding patterns on the fan surface. Therefore, each lacquer fan has a random and unique pattern. It is this unique and "Chinese freehand" style of characteristic patterns that makes the lacquer fan stalls so popular.
In Huguang Market, the most down-to-earth and mouth-watering area is the food area. The sweetness of egg waffle ice cream, the freshness of coconut smoothie, the fragrance of red willow skewers... these Internet-famous foods satisfy everyone's taste buds.
If you are tired of walking around, you can come to the concert to take a break. "Look, the dog is barking, the leaves are smiling, and the wind is whispering. Why not appreciate it for a second, the hazy romance..." This line of lyrics instantly aroused the interest of the audience, and everyone sang along.
Jingshan Park is also full of fireworks. This year, the park has created a summer food festival in the evening. Here, many well-known catering brands such as Ziguangyuan, Xiaodiao Pear Soup, and Sanqin Wuwei gather together to create a feast for taste buds. Ziguangyuan attracts many diners with its exquisite halal dishes and unique cooking techniques. Xiaodiao Pear Soup is famous for its signature pear soup and exquisite snacks. Sanqin Wuwei brings a strong Shaanxi flavor, which not only satisfies the appetite, but also allows people to feel the boldness and enthusiasm of the northwest.

Next to the Lake Light Market, the park built an exclusive stage and sang classic songs such as "A Little Happiness" and "I Only Care About You" to create a romantic atmosphere.
