According to the catalogue of pure electric vehicles exempted from tax recently released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the battery capacity information of Hongmeng Zhixing's first coupe SUV, which is also the second model of Hongmeng Zhixing, has been confirmed.

The Zhijie R7 will provide three battery packs with different capacities, namely 79.9kWh, 80.2kWh and 97.7kWh. It is expected that the new car's range will cover 646 to 802 kilometers, among which the rear-wheel drive model with 97kWh battery will achieve the longest range.

Although the model information disclosed this time only shows the pure electric version of Zhijie R7, there have been reports that Zhijie’s second model will also provide an extended-range version.

In terms of design, the Zhijie R7 continues the design language of the Zhijie S7, adopting a fully enclosed front face and a through-type light strip, making the front design of the vehicle highly recognizable. The side design of the vehicle body adopts a fastback style, with hidden door handles and smooth lines, making the new car more in line with the model category of coupe SUV and enhancing the sense of sportiness.

In terms of size, the Zhijie R7 is 4956mm long, 1981mm wide, 1634mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2950mm, and is positioned as a medium-to-large SUV. Thanks to its larger size, the new car is expected to provide an interior space performance that exceeds that of the Tesla Model Y.

In terms of power, the Zhijie R7 supports single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The peak power of the single-motor version reaches 293 horsepower, and the dual-motor version can reach 497 horsepower. In addition, the R7 is equipped with an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform and Huawei's giant whale battery, supporting ultra-fast charging technology.

In terms of intelligent driving systems, the R7 will be equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 advanced intelligent driving system, providing an SE version that includes a pure vision solution, supporting highway automatic navigation assisted driving (NCA) and multi-scenario automatic parking functions.

It should be noted that the uncertainty of delivery capacity is still an issue that Zhijie needs to pay close attention to. Zhijie, which is backed by two giants, Chery and Huawei, did not perform well in the market for its first model, the S7.

The launch of R7 may help balance the sales pressure of S7 by leveraging the domestic market preference for SUVs, but due to the previous delay in S7 delivery, whether sufficient supply can be provided in the early stage of launch remains an unresolved issue.
