At the launching ceremony, the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce announced policies to further support the trade-in of old consumer goods, focusing on products such as automobiles, home appliances, kitchen and bathroom furnishings, and electric bicycles.

In terms of car trade-ins, the subsidy standard for consumers who scrap old cars and buy new ones has been increased from 10,000 yuan for new energy passenger cars and 7,000 yuan for energy-saving fuel cars to 20,000 yuan and 15,000 yuan respectively. For consumers who transfer old cars to buy new cars, the subsidy standard for automobile replacement and renewal in Hubei Province will be doubled according to the energy type and price of the new car. The subsidy funds are retroactive. Applications for automobile scrapping and renewal subsidies submitted from April 24 this year and automobile replacement and renewal subsidies submitted from May 31 will be subsidized according to the new standards after review and approval.

The categories of subsidies for replacing old appliances with new ones have been expanded and the standards have been improved. Consumers who purchase eight types of products, such as air conditioners, televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines, with first and second level energy and water efficiency will be given a 20% or 15% discount on the sales price; each consumer can subsidize one product of each type, with a maximum subsidy of 2,000 yuan per product. Subsidies will be given to individual consumers who purchase kitchen and bathroom products such as dishwashers and disinfection cabinets. Government subsidies can be combined with merchant discounts to maximize consumers' benefits in terms of "real money".

In addition, in order to meet consumers' requirements for the intelligence and safety of electric bicycles, Hubei will also provide subsidies according to certain standards if consumers scrap old electric bicycles that do not meet national standards or electric bicycles registered before July 30, 2019, and purchase qualified new electric bicycles produced by companies that meet the "Electric Bicycle Industry Standard Conditions".

"We hope to provide consumers with real benefits through the promotion of the old-for-new policy and the implementation of a series of activities, so that everyone can actively participate in the old-for-new activities and enjoy a technological and quality life." The relevant person in charge of the Consumption Division of the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce introduced that starting from August 22, 100 million yuan of "Huigou Hubei" 3C digital product consumption coupons will be issued throughout the province to meet consumers' technological and personalized consumption needs for mobile phones, digital cameras, smart watches, wireless Bluetooth headsets and other products. At that time, consumers can enter keywords such as "3C digital product consumption coupons" on JD.com, Vipshop, and Alipay platforms, enter the activity page to receive the consumption coupons, and then purchase 3C digital products online and offline.

According to reports, the "Jingchu Summer Never-Sleeping Life" carnival will last for two months.
