According to Xinhua News Agency, at around 18:00 on August 10, after more than ten hours of intensive repairs, the road that was blocked due to a landslide at the junction of Jizhou District, Tianjin and Xinglong County, Hebei Province was reopened to traffic.

From 7:00 on August 9 to 6:00 on August 10, heavy to torrential rains occurred in Tianjin, and torrential rains occurred in parts of Wuqing, Baodi and Jizhou, as well as in some places in Binhai New Area. The average rainfall was 67.8 mm, the maximum rainfall was 220.1 mm, and the maximum hourly rainfall was 129.2 mm. Affected by the heavy rainfall, mountain torrents occurred at the junction of Jizhou District and Xinglong County, causing landslides and road closures, but no casualties.

Wang Yang, director of the Jizhou District Highway Maintenance Service Center in Tianjin, told reporters that due to the recent frequent rainfall, a landslide near the Baishe Valley service area caused a landslide, with a mountain torrent of about 12,000 cubic meters of earth and rocks, blocking a 160-meter-long and 16-meter-wide highway. The local authorities first cut off traffic and mobilized 9 loaders, 4 excavators, and 45 transport vehicles to speed up the cleanup of the site.

A relevant person in charge of the Traffic Police Detachment of Jizhou Branch of Tianjin Public Security Bureau told reporters that due to damaged road surface on some sections, they temporarily closed three sections to ensure construction. In addition to the section from the intersection of Jinwei Line 2 and Jinwei Highway to the junction of Xinglong where the flash flood occurred, there are also two sections, from Chuancangyu Village in Xiaying Town to the intersection of Jinwei Line 2 and Maying Highway, and from Pinggu border of Baoping Highway to Xujiatai Roundabout. They are also temporarily closed due to damaged road surface and high water levels, and repair work is being carried out simultaneously.

On the same day, the Jizhou District Culture and Tourism Bureau of Tianjin also issued a notice that from 4 a.m., all scenic spots and attractions in Jizhou District will be temporarily closed, and farmhouses will no longer receive new tourists. The subsequent opening time will be notified separately.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Tianjin Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters Office, during this round of rainfall, the water affairs, public security, housing and construction, transportation, urban management, culture and tourism, electricity, communications and other departments, together with various districts, dispatched 3,977 people and 997 sets of emergency equipment to strengthen emergency drainage and traffic diversion in key areas such as flooded tunnels and flooded areas. The fire rescue team handled 107 police incidents and rescued 143 trapped people, with no casualties.

After analysis and judgment, Tianjin lifted the city's Level 4 flood emergency response from 9:30 a.m. on the 10th. Jizhou District also lifted the District Level 2 flood emergency response from 11:30 a.m.
