Upon investigation, it was found that Xu Zheng had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspiration and mission, was disloyal and dishonest to the Party, colluded with others in testifying against him, and resisted organizational review; he ignored the spirit of the Central Committee's eight regulations, repeatedly accepted gifts and cash that may have affected the impartial performance of his duties, gave gifts and cash to public officials, purchased high-end liquor for official receptions in violation of regulations, and had others pay for expenses that should have been paid by himself; he violated organizational principles and illegally sought benefits in the job transfers of others; he used public power as a tool to seek personal gain, and used the convenience of his position and the convenience formed by his authority to provide assistance to the person making the request in project coordination, project payment, job transfers, etc. through his own or other state officials' official behavior, and illegally accepted huge amounts of property on multiple occasions either alone or in collusion with others.

Xu Zheng seriously violated political discipline, organizational discipline, and discipline on integrity, constituted a serious duty violation and was suspected of bribery, and did not stop after the 18th CPC National Congress. The circumstances were serious and the impact was bad, and he should be severely dealt with. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment of the Communist Party of China", "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", "Administrative Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China for Public Officials", etc., after the Standing Committee of the Qujing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection discussed and reported to the Qujing Municipal Party Committee for approval, it was decided to expel Xu Zheng from the Party; the Qujing Municipal Supervision Committee expelled him from public office; confiscated his illegal gains; and transferred his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorate for examination and prosecution in accordance with the law, and the property involved was transferred together.
