  • At 17:53 on August 9, the Fire Rescue Brigade of Changping District, Beijing received an alarm: a vehicle and a person were trapped at an intersection in Shahe Town. The Changping Brigade dispatched the Huilongguan Fire Rescue Station to the scene to deal with the situation.
  • At 18:17, the Huilongguan rescue station arrived at a place 70 meters away from the trapped vehicle. As the water depth was 70 centimeters, the commander in front of the rescue station led the team members to wear personal protective equipment and wade through the water to deal with the situation.
  • At 18:30, the rescue station and the caller agreed to break the window.
  • At 18:32, the rescue station used a Harrigan and other demolition tools to break open the car window, rescued the four trapped people from the car, and then escorted them to a safe place.
