new fuxing hao smart sleeper train goes online on national day

it is understood that from october 1, the newly developed fuxing intelligent sleeper train will be put into operation between beijing and hong kong and shanghai and hong kong. the d909/910 train from beijing west to hong kong west kowloon will be upgraded to g897/898, and the d907/908 train from shanghai hongqiao to hong kong west kowloon will be upgraded to g899/900.

at the same time, in order to meet the travel needs of passengers during the national day holiday, an additional g898 train from hong kong west kowloon to beijing west will be added on september 30, and two-way service will be implemented between beijing and hong kong and shanghai and hong kong on october 1 and 2. subsequently, two-way service will be arranged on fridays, saturdays, sundays and mondays when passenger travel demand is most concentrated.

tickets for the upgraded fuxing smart sleeper train went on sale on september 25. passengers can purchase them through the railway 12306 website (including the client), station ticket windows, automatic ticket vending (collection) machines and other channels.

the fuxing smart sleeper train consists of 16 cars, including 2 seat cars, 1 dining car/sleeper car, and 13 sleeper cars. compared with the existing beijing-hong kong and shanghai-hong kong harmony sleeper trains, the total capacity has increased to 652 people, including 24 first-class seats, 90 second-class seats, and 538 sleeper berths. carriage no. 8 is specially equipped with 1 barrier-free sleeper compartment and 1 barrier-free toilet, and braille signs are added to the service facilities to better serve disabled passengers.

the upgraded trains adopt all-round and regional sound insulation and noise reduction measures, and the noise indicators in each area have reached the excellent level required by the standard. compared with the existing beijing-hong kong and shanghai-hong kong harmony sleeper trains, the noise in the compartments is lower. the air-conditioning units all use variable frequency technology, which has more precise temperature adjustment, less noise, more comfortable body feeling, and quieter carriages.

after the upgrade, the train has greatly improved its service quality, focusing on building a "mobile star-rated hotel", integrating chinese traditional culture and the regional characteristics of beijing, shanghai, hong kong (guangdong), and carefully designing the train interior and furnishings; improving the quality of mattresses, pillows and other supplies; for the first time, exploring the introduction of "butler-style" service, and all crew members serve as service butlers to provide call-based response services for passengers' sleeping, washing, dining, answering questions, etc.; launching cantonese specialty meals, and providing distinctive high-quality catering services.

after the quality upgrade, the maximum operating speed of high-speed sleeper trains between beijing and hong kong and shanghai and hong kong has been increased from 250 kilometers per hour to 300 kilometers per hour, and travel time has been shortened to varying degrees.

the g897 train departs from beijing west railway station at 20:13 and arrives at hong kong west kowloon station at 7:45 the next day, 1 hour and 2 minutes earlier than the current arrival time. it stops at shijiazhuang, handan east, zhengzhou east, guangzhou south, shenzhen north and other stations along the way.

the g898 train will depart from hong kong west kowloon station at 19:26, 1 hour and 2 minutes later than the current departure time, and arrive at beijing west station at 6:53 the next day, stopping at shenzhen north, guangzhou south, changsha south, shijiazhuang and other stations along the way.

the g899 train departs from shanghai hongqiao station at 20:15 and arrives at hong kong west kowloon station at 7:20 the next day, 9 minutes earlier than the current arrival time. it stops at hangzhou east, ningbo, shenzhen north and other stations along the way.

the g900 train will depart from hong kong west kowloon station at 20:05, 16 minutes later than the current departure time, and arrive at shanghai hongqiao station at 7:00 the next day, stopping at shenzhen north, chaoshan, xiamen north, ningbo, hangzhou east and other stations along the way.

it is reported that the fuxing smart sleeper train is still scheduled to run in both directions every friday, saturday, sunday and monday when passenger travel demand is most concentrated. when riding the train, passengers can go through entry and exit procedures at hong kong west kowloon station through the "one place, two inspections" method, providing more convenience for passengers traveling between beijing and hong kong, and shanghai and hong kong.
