recently, the "supervision law (draft amendment)" was reviewed by the 11th meeting of the 14th national people's congress standing committee and was publicly solicited for opinions. the draft amendment made many changes in supervision investigation measures, detention periods, etc.

the current "supervision law" was reviewed and passed in 2018. the full text consists of nine chapters and 69 articles. it stipulates the purpose of supervision legislation, the principles of supervision work, supervisory agencies and their responsibilities, the scope and jurisdiction of supervision, supervisory powers, supervisory procedures, and supervision of supervisory agencies and supervisory personnel. it is a major institutional achievement in deepening the reform of the national supervision system and has played an important role in achieving full coverage of supervision of public officials.

the draft amendment consists of 23 articles, mainly involving "improving the general provisions of the supervision law and the provisions on supervisory dispatch, improving supervisory measures and procedures, enriching the relevant provisions on international cooperation in anti-corruption, and strengthening the self-construction of supervisory organs." according to the draft amendment, the revised supervision law will be expanded from the original 69 articles to 78 articles.
