"hurry up, the fish are here!" on september 22, the 2024 china farmers' harvest festival and the first farmers' farming competition and games in chongqing were held in longtan town, fuling district. more than 80 farmers from 27 districts and counties in the city participated in the competition to share the joy brought by the harvest.

"we can't fight alone, so why don't the three of us team up to surround and intercept it." however, the tactics were not ideal. while surrounding a carp, chen xin and wang changxuan's heads bumped into each other and they almost fell into the rice field.
seeing the athletes trying their best, the team leader qi jianbo, who was standing at the edge of the field, could no longer sit still. he directed the team members to "slack off" and cheered them on.
at this time, the rice field fishing competition venue was filled with laughter and joy, and the audience on the ridge surrounded the rice field in three layers. the rice field was boiling with the exclamations of the fish catchers, the splashing of water, and the cheers of the audience, one wave higher than the other, pushing the atmosphere of the rice field fishing competition to a climax.

"today's fishing competition is so exciting. i remember catching fish in the river when i was a kid, and today i experienced the joy of my childhood again." tan lihua said that his family also has more than 10 mu of fish ponds, but unlike using nets to catch fish in fish ponds, fishing in rice fields is more difficult because of muddy mud. at the same time, fishing in rice fields requires skills, and it is not as simple as imagined. this may be the charm of fishing in rice fields.
after 30 minutes of competition, the changshou team finally had the most weight in the rice field, while tan lihua's wanzhou team was slightly inferior. "it doesn't matter whether we get a ranking or not, as long as everyone has fun, that's the biggest harvest!" qi jianbo said.
