from an ordinary normal school to a comprehensive university with distinct aviation characteristics, this is a road full of challenges and honors. on september 21, the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of shandong aviation university was grandly held in binzhou city.
in 1954, beizhen normal school was founded, which was the starting point of shandong aviation university. from beizhen normal school to binzhou university, and then to shandong aviation university, over the past 70 years, this university has gradually developed from an ordinary normal school to a high-level applied university with advantages and characteristics in aerospace science and technology, transportation engineering, and ecology, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. it has become an important base for the cultivation of civil aviation talents in my country, and has made important contributions to basic education and aviation education in shandong and even the whole country.
as one of the three undergraduate universities in china with aviation schools, shandong aviation university has jointly trained aviation talents with 32 companies including air china, china eastern airlines, shandong airlines, and hainan airlines, becoming an important force in promoting the development of china's aviation industry. the school's goal is to become a first-class aviation university in china by 2035.
at the same time, as a university located in binzhou city, shandong aviation university has not only witnessed the development of this city, but also contributed to its progress. the two sides have jointly performed a wonderful chapter of mutual achievement between a university and a city.
