in 2013, i joined the army and became an electronic warfare soldier, which was the most resolute and proud choice in my life. this experience was like a carving knife, carving out tenacity, responsibility and commitment in my youth.
when i first entered the military camp, i felt stressed by the strict discipline, high-intensity training and unfamiliar environment. the wake-up call every morning not only awakened my body, but also my inner awareness of my mission. the day-to-day physical training not only wore out the soles of my shoes, but also my former immaturity and fragility. but it was this seemingly cruel training that made me gradually understand that the glory of a soldier does not come from comfort and ease, but from the iron will forged in sweat and hardship.
i remember that the troops went to golmud for field training every year. during the training, they not only had to face complex terrain and bad weather conditions, but also had to ensure the normal operation of electronic equipment. during the field training, i carried heavy equipment and crossed mountains, forests and rivers. when encountering steep slopes, everyone worked together and helped each other to safely transport the equipment to the destination. when camping, my comrades and i also had to build temporary protective facilities to prevent the equipment from being damaged. at the same time, we used our rest time to maintain and service the equipment. in the military camp, there is not only physical training, but also spiritual baptism. comrades come from all corners of the world, each with different backgrounds and stories, but we have a common goal-to defend our country. in the exchanges and running-in, i learned to understand and tolerate, and understood the true meaning of unity and cooperation. we worked together on the training ground and talked about our ideals under the stars. that sincere comradeship has become the most precious wealth in my life.
the days of joining the army made me understand the weight of responsibility. after retiring from the army, i devoted myself to community work. this experience gave me a new understanding of the value and meaning of life, and also allowed me to continue to shine in my new position.
community work may seem ordinary and trivial, but it also requires a high sense of responsibility and mission. when i first entered the community, i was confused and bewildered by the complex and diverse needs of residents and the myriad of work affairs. but the tenacity and perseverance of a soldier allowed me to quickly adjust my mindset and actively adapt to the new working environment. i know that community work is a bridge and bond between the party and the government and the people. each of our work is directly related to the vital interests of the residents. from mediating neighborhood disputes in residents' homes to organizing various large and small community activities; from regularly caring for the elderly and widowed to implementing policy explanations and publicity, every seemingly insignificant thing needs to be done with heart and influenced with emotion.
retirement does not fade, change of uniform does not change the heart. i will continue to play the advantages of soldiers in community work, contribute my own strength to the development of the community and the happiness of residents, and write a new chapter for retired soldiers.
