zhang qi and wang peiyu went to fenggui xiang opera troupe and zhangzhou xiang opera troupe respectively. passion can overcome all difficulties. cai dongmei, the head of fenggui xiang opera troupe, performed string puppetry for more than 20 years in obscurity until her fingers could not be joined together. during this period, she drove a taxi, dug oysters, and worked as a ticket seller. it was not until a short video became popular that this traditional opera caught the attention of young people and regained its vitality. at present, fenggui xiang opera troupe performs more than 330 shows in the countryside every year; although the sisters chen yuxuan and chen yu'an from taiwan are on both sides of the taiwan strait, they are still committed to the inheritance of xiang opera and gezai opera; after graduation, the chinese opera enthusiasts studied opera and joined the troupe... amateurs, enthusiasts, and professionals gathered together because of their passion, which constituted the survival state of the troupe and also created the unique human fireworks of xiang opera (gezai opera).
