the event was jointly organized by the chinese embassy in bulgaria and the bulgarian national association of the belt and road initiative. bulgarian president radev, chinese ambassador to bulgaria dai qingli, chairman of the bulgarian national association of the belt and road initiative zahariev, bulgarian minister of economy and industry nikolov, deputy minister of transport and communications minchev, and deputy minister of innovation and growth yakimov attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. representatives of the bulgarian local government, representatives of the bulgarian chamber of commerce, industrial capital association, industrial federation and other bulgarian business circles, entrepreneurs from china and bulgaria, and representatives of the chinese and bulgarian media attended the opening ceremony. about 300 people attended the opening ceremony.
in his speech, radev said that china is a country of great influence in the world, with a long history, ancient civilization and rich cultural traditions, especially its remarkable achievements in economic and technological development. the bulgarian side admires this and has a strong interest in expanding cooperation with china, believing that the potential for relevant cooperation is huge.
dai qingli said that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between china and bulgaria, the two countries have always respected each other, maintained equality and mutual benefit, and their traditional friendship has lasted forever. the third plenary session of the 20th cpc central committee, held in beijing not long ago, focused on further deepening reform in an all-round way, promoting chinese-style modernization, and improving the system and mechanism of high-level opening up, which provided new and broad opportunities for practical cooperation between china and bulgaria. he hoped that the business communities of china and bulgaria would have in-depth exchanges and negotiations, promote win-win cooperation, and turn more cooperation opportunities and visions into reality.
after the opening ceremony, chinese and bulgarian enterprises held business matchmaking talks. nearly 30 leading chinese enterprises participated in the talks, covering finance, railways and infrastructure, new energy, electric vehicles, electronic information, home appliances, biotechnology, digital technology, logistics, legal services, etc. radev also held talks with chinese enterprise representatives, saying that the exchanges with chinese enterprises have strengthened his confidence in bulgaria-china cooperation.
