first, new progress has been made in the protection of the main body. in terms of wall repair, yanqing district has completed the emergency reinforcement of nearly 90% of the brick and stone great wall and 95% of the hollow watchtowers, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent display and utilization of the great wall culture; in terms of planning, yanqing district took the lead in compiling and completing the "beijing great wall cultural belt·juyong road and huanghua road key group yanqing district detailed plan", "yanqing district great wall cultural belt protection and development plan", and "badaling great wall cultural relics protection special plan"; in terms of technological empowerment, yanqing district relies on a new generation of unmanned operation platforms to achieve multi-angle real-time inspections of the 7,441-meter great wall of the badaling great wall, as well as daily inspections and monitoring of the environment of the 70.1 square kilometers of the badaling great wall cultural relics protection planning area.

in august this year, yanqing district issued the "three-year action plan for the protection and development of the great wall in yanqing district, beijing (2024-2026)". in the next three years, yanqing district will further deepen and implement the construction of the great wall national cultural park, focusing on five aspects, namely protection and inheritance, research and excavation, environmental support, cultural and tourism integration, and digital reproduction, with 35 general tasks and 94 sub-tasks, and strive to build the great wall national cultural park into an important symbol for promoting national spirit, inheriting chinese civilization, and showing the image of a great power and the style of the capital.
