according to su guomin, director of beijing science center, the exhibition area of scientists' spirit has set up a theme exhibition of "inheritance - scientists under the leadership of the party". through the scientific path of continuous exploration, innovation, inheritance and rejuvenation of generations of scientists, it conveys the spiritual connotation of cultivating young people to cherish the motherland, go to the world, and grow with the country, and inspires the public's patriotic enthusiasm and national confidence. the exhibition is located on the first floor of building 1, with an area of about 1,200 square meters, and will be officially open to the public on september 15.
the science and technology culture exhibition area has three exhibitions. among them, the "science and technology axis - science and technology on the central axis of beijing" exhibition explores the inheritance and development of science and technology culture in beijing and provides an immersive experience of science and technology culture for people of all ages. the exhibition is located on the fifth floor of building 2 and will be officially open to the public on september 15.
the "ancient buildings that come alive" technology experience exhibition focuses on scientific knowledge in traditional architecture, and carries out interactive activities such as special exhibitions and stories about ancient buildings and the architectural charm of the central axis. the "craftsmanship experience exhibition in traditional culture" combines exhibitions and activities to allow the public to experience the culture and technology in intangible cultural heritage in a three-dimensional way.
the science education exhibition area has set up mobile science experience exhibitions, science reading areas and other areas, and carries out more than 200 science and education activities for young people. the content includes science classes in the venue, volunteer exhibition hall explanations, one science class per week, mobile science museum, small ball big world, capital science lecture hall, science fiction education salon, talent exchange meeting and other science center brand activities, but also includes meteorological young academician experiment performances, science drama performances and other outstanding activities submitted by various units.
the science popularization experience exhibition area utilizes the outdoor space of the science center and sets up a science popularization and innovation display tent area, the "symbols" youth civil defense knowledge science popularization exhibition, the "big hands holding small hands, building a dream of safety together" emergency science popularization exhibition, and the "new vision of meteorological science and technology" modern meteorological science popularization exhibition, etc., to display deep earth exploration, marine resources, network security, commercial aerospace, artificial intelligence, communication technology, life sciences, low-carbon environmental protection, new materials, emergency safety and other contents to help the public understand scientific knowledge and spread scientific ideas.
the main event also includes the beijing international science communication exchange week, which will feature 24 government officials, experts and scholars, heads of international organizations, heads of science festival organizers, heads of science centers and science museums, heads of science communication companies and other overseas guests from 20 institutions in 15 countries, as well as directors and experts and scholars of domestic science and technology venues. it will also include an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, and a dialogue between directors of chinese and foreign science and technology museums in beijing.
