recently, some unexpected situations occurred in the organization of the 2025 shanghai auto show, which attracted the attention of many automobile companies and industry-related units. as the organizer of the shanghai auto show for more than 20 years, the automotive industry sub-council of the china council for the promotion of international trade (hereinafter referred to as "china council") explains the relevant matters as follows:

the cooperation agreement on the shanghai auto show signed in 2002 by our association, the shanghai council for the promotion of international trade and shanghai international exhibition (group) co., ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "shanghai party") and has been continuously implemented is still valid.

recently, a series of unilateral decisions and actions by shanghai have brought impacts and turbulence to the organization of the 2025 shanghai auto show, resulting in various uncertain legal and commercial risks. as the organizer of the shanghai auto show, in order to ensure the healthy and stable development of the automotive industry and the shanghai auto show, safeguard the brand and reputation of the shanghai auto show and its own legitimate and legal rights and interests, while continuing to report to the competent authorities and communicate with shanghai, we have recently filed a lawsuit against shanghai in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. the relevant matters are awaiting the decision of the judicial authorities.

according to the relevant regulations of relevant departments on exhibition management, the 2025 shanghai auto show is an exhibition activity that needs to handle exhibition information registration and filing, and is not within the scope of government administrative approval. the 2025 shanghai auto show only has a registration and filing unit, and there is no "shanghai auto show approval unit".

the unilateral filing behavior of shanghai is a breach of contract and does not affect the rights of our association to continue to serve as the organizer. our association has explained the situation to the filing unit in accordance with the law and applied for changes to improve the organizer of the 2025 shanghai auto show. we remind all automobile companies and relevant units in the industry to pay attention to the progress of relevant situations, pay attention to protecting their own rights and interests, and avoid various risks. we will promptly report the progress of relevant matters.
