after receiving the report, three community social workers immediately called 120 emergency number and rushed to the resident's home. they observed that mr. jin was pale and weak in his limbs. the social worker called the contact number in the emergency center's text message to introduce the patient's condition and said that he had a first aid certificate from the beijing red cross society and could perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the family had agreed.
after a brief inquiry, the emergency doctor immediately instructed the social worker to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation over the phone. at the same time, community workers coordinated residents to move their vehicles to ensure that the rescue channel was unobstructed.
ten minutes later, emergency personnel arrived at the scene, and social workers provided first aid, calmed the family members and evacuated the crowd. after about half an hour of rescue, mr. jin recovered, and then the ambulance sent him to the people's hospital for further treatment. as of press time, mr. jin is no longer in danger due to timely emergency treatment.
"this year, i participated in the red cross emergency rescue training organized by the street, and mastered key rescue skills such as the use of aed external defibrillators and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. the most important thing is that the training allows me to deal with emergencies calmly without panicking. i am very happy that my skills can help mr. jin and his family." said social worker zhao qi.
in order to improve the emergency rescue capabilities of social workers, xinjiekou subdistrict has carried out red cross emergency rescue training in 21 communities. through the method of "theoretical explanation + practical exercises", the use of aed external defibrillators and cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other rescue contents are taught. currently, 29 social workers have obtained the beijing red cross rescue skills certificate.
