when reviewing the development of china's power batteries, academician ouyang minggao divided it into three ten-year stages: the first decade focused on the safety research of power batteries, the second decade focused on the artificial intelligence revolution and the development of smart batteries, and the third decade will focus on the innovation of material systems and the research and development of solid-state batteries. he pointed out that china's power battery technology breakthroughs are an important factor in promoting the explosive growth of new energy vehicles.

academician ouyang minggao elaborated on the three key directions of current power battery technology: safe batteries, smart batteries and solid-state batteries. in terms of safe batteries, he introduced the research results of improving battery safety through material innovation and thermal management optimization; in terms of smart batteries, he emphasized the importance of intelligent battery simulation and design, intelligent manufacturing and intelligent management; and in terms of solid-state batteries, he planned in detail the research and development path of solid-state electrolytes, composite negative electrodes and composite positive electrodes, and looked forward to the performance of solid-state batteries in different application scenarios.
