On August 27, Boeing, the leading aerospace company, released its 2024 Civil Aviation Market Outlook (hereinafter referred to as the Outlook). Boeing predicts that the size of China's civil aviation fleet will more than double by 2043, with an average annual growth of 4.1%, from 4,345 to 9,740 aircraft. For some time, the domestically produced large aircraft C919 has appeared in the fleets of domestic airlines. Huo Daren, vice president of Boeing's civil aviation marketing, believes that the C919 large passenger aircraft has become a competitor of Boeing, and said that competition is good for the industry.

Boeing predicts that China's overall passenger traffic will grow by an average of 5.9% per year in the next 20 years, surpassing the global average of 4.7%. As airlines expand their route networks and connect major hubs with more small and medium-sized cities, passenger traffic will also increase. China's civil aviation fleet will grow by an average of 4.1% per year, and with factors such as the replacement of old and new aircraft, the number of civil aviation aircraft will increase from 4,345 to 9,740. Among them, the number of single-aisle aircraft deliveries will increase significantly. In the next 20 years, the number of single-aisle aircraft deliveries in the Chinese market is expected to reach 6,720, accounting for more than three-quarters of all deliveries.
