Explanation on the scope of products investigated in the relevant dairy product anti-subsidy case

All stakeholders

On August 21, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 34 of 2024 to initiate an anti-subsidy investigation on imported dairy products originating from the European Union. Recently, interested parties have consulted on the scope of the investigated products, and the following explanation is given:

The scope of products under investigation in this case has been listed in the announcement, and the products are described as "the relevant dairy products specifically include fresh cheese (including whey cheese) and curd, processed cheese (whether or not grated or powdered), blue cheese and other cheeses with textures produced by Penicillium roqueforti, other unlisted cheeses, unconcentrated milk and cream (with a fat content of more than 10% by weight) without added sugar or other sweetening substances."

Among them, "milk and cream that are not concentrated and not containing sugar or other sweetening substances" should meet the standard of "fat content exceeding 10% by weight".

This is to clarify.
