On August 14, 2024, the 2024 "Qiaonan Wudaojie Cup" Sino-US Professional Basketball Elite Competition was held at Daobei Gymnasium in Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, with the Xinjiang Guanghui Club Basketball Team facing the American Explorers. With 23 seconds left in the first quarter of the game, while the players of both sides were scrambling for a rebound, the No. 45 player of the American Explorers elbowed the No. 0 player of the Xinjiang Guanghui Club, Sirzati Saimaiti, in the face, and then an argument broke out, which led to multiple players from both sides pushing, punching, and kicking. After isolation and persuasion by the on-site referee, on-site staff and security personnel, the game was suspended for about 3 minutes and resumed, and the game was completed normally.

On August 16, the Xinjiang Guanghui Basketball Club submitted a "Report on Punishment and Internal Correction" to the Chinese Basketball Association, and at the same time punished the six players involved and four relevant managers.

The Chinese Basketball Association's Disciplinary and Ethical Committee, after verification and in accordance with Article 3 and Article 27 of the "Chinese Basketball Association Disciplinary Code and Penalty Regulations", has imposed the following penalties:

1. Player Huang Rongqi is suspended for 6 games; player Qi Lin is suspended for 5 games; players Sirzati Saimati, Lutubula, and Guo Yuzhang are suspended for 4 games; players Tang Caiyu and Li Yanzhe are suspended for 3 games.
