The 13th China International New Media Short Film Festival will be held in Guangming, Shenzhen from August 29 to September 1. On August 23, the list of the international expert selection committee for this year's short film festival was officially announced.
The China International New Media Short Film Festival, hosted by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, supported by the China Television Artists Association and the Guangdong Provincial Radio and Television Bureau, and undertaken by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, the Guangming District People's Government, and the Shenzhen Radio, Film and Television Group, is the only national and international short film festival in China. It has successfully held the "Golden Roc Short Film Director Support Program" for twelve sessions, supporting and incubating hundreds of world-class film and television directors and creative talents.
The 13th China International New Media Short Film Festival will be committed to brand reshaping and content upgrading. While retaining the attributes of "public welfare festival, international characteristics, and talent support", it will expand the new "Internet" track, integrate the new "micro-short drama" business model, and actively guide the creation and improvement of micro-short dramas and the optimization of supply and demand structure, further extending the industrial value chain of micro-short dramas.
The International Expert Selection Committee of this Short Film Festival is chaired by the famous director, screenwriter and producer Yu Baimei, and Li La, Deputy General Manager of Tencent Online Video Film and Television Content Production Department, Su Xiao, Chairman of Lemon Studios, Yan Danchen, a national first-class actor, and Jaime E. Manrique, special representative of the International Short Film Alliance, serve as members of the International Expert Selection Committee.
Five international expert selection committee members from different fields will jointly decide the final candidates for the 13th China International New Media Short Film Festival's Annual Short Film, Annual Drama Short Film, Annual Documentary Short Film, Annual Animation Short Film, and Annual College Student Short Film Director Support Program.
