On August 23, the "Shentangyu 30th Anniversary Re-departure" and the first Never-Sleeping Valley Cultural Tourism Season of Yanqi Town, Huairou District, opened in Shentangyu Scenic Area in 2024. A series of colorful cultural and tourism projects such as cultural performances, dynamic sports, food feasts, and cultural and creative markets attracted many tourists to participate.

Afterwards, relevant leaders awarded plaques to units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Yanqi Never-Sleeping Valley over the past 30 years. At the event, the experiencers, witnesses and participants of the 30-year development of Shentangyu were interviewed. They told the story of the changes in the economy of Shentangyu Scenic Area and Never-Sleeping Valley, which moved the audience.
The audio-poetry-painting "Poetry and Painting of Yanqi" showcased the cultural charm of Yanqi Town through the perfect fusion of poetry recitation, instrumental music performance and song singing. Subsequently, the "Goode Huairou Creative Studio" jointly established by Yanqi Town and the internationally renowned design company Goode Intelligent Manufacturing Group was unveiled, and the construction plan of Yanqi Landscape Station was released. Yanqi Town will build 6 Yanqi public cultural tourism check-in spots to provide better consumption scenarios for tourists to Huairou.
The release of the "Poetic and Picturesque Yanqi Cultural Tourism Mini Program" and the "Yanqi Gifts" cultural and creative products also attracted attention. The mini program integrates various tourism resources in the town, and the operation process is simple and convenient, so tourists can use it easily. "Yanqi Gifts" showcases a variety of cultural and creative products with Yanqi characteristics, and many tourists have purchased them.
The government builds the platform and enterprises work together to build. At the event, Yanqi Lake and Qinglong Gorge signed co-construction agreements with Shentangyu and Lianquan Xianggu Scenic Spots respectively, leveraging the influence and driving force of the two 4A-level scenic spots to boost the development of Shentangyu Scenic Spot.
"We held this event mainly to summarize the development experience of the past 30 years and better promote the development of Yanqi's cultural tourism in the future. The biggest highlight of this event is the integration of Yanqi scenic spots, homestays, restaurants, bookstores and other resources, and customized Yanqi travel cards for scientists and entrepreneurs in Huai'an. Cardholders will be able to visit scenic spots for free and enjoy corresponding fee reductions and other benefits. This is also a powerful measure for Yanqi Town to serve the construction of the Science City and create a better business environment. This year, we plan to issue 100 cards so that everyone can feel the warmth of life in Huai'an and the heat of development in Yanqi through the travel cards."
