According to the Beijing Yanqing WeChat official account, on August 20, a bumper harvest scene appeared in the leisure agricultural park of Wufuxingnong Planting Professional Cooperative Union in Hujiaying Village, Zhangshanying Town. Bunches of purple-red grapes hung on the branches, round and smooth, exuding an attractive fruity aroma, marking the arrival of the grape maturity period.
In the greenhouse, workers are busy picking ripe grapes. Bunches of crystal clear grapes are carefully cut and put into baskets, which are then packed and shipped to the market.
August is the season change for grape picking in Zhangshanying Town. The harvest of facility grapes is coming to an end, while open-field grapes are beginning to be put on the market in large quantities. From the beginning of August to the middle of August, many early-maturing grape varieties such as Kyoho, Rizamat, Black Aolin, and Seedless White Chicken Heart will be put on the market one after another. In September, high-quality varieties such as Red Globe and Beauty Finger will also enter the maturity period. From mid-August to the end of September, more than 30 open-field grape varieties in the thousand-acre vineyard of Zhangshanying Town will meet everyone's demand for grapes of different flavors to the greatest extent.
In recent years, grapes from Zhangshanying Town have won many national gold medals for their excellent quality, and red grapes have the reputation of "Chinese famous fruit". With the help of the national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, Zhangshanying Town has also strengthened industrial exchanges and cooperation in grape planting and other aspects with Huailai and other places, providing a platform for fruit farmers and cooperatives to exchange and learn from each other, and continuously promoting the improvement of grape quality.
The Yanhuai River Valley where Zhangshanying Town is located is a famous grape producing area in my country. It has sufficient sunlight, high annual sunshine hours, and a large temperature difference between day and night, which is conducive to the accumulation of sugar in grapes. Together with the rich planting experience and careful management of fruit farmers, the excellent quality of grapes here has been created.
In the future, Zhangshanying Town will focus on the large-scale market launch of red grapes and other grapes, hold activities such as the Grape Culture Festival, and introduce e-commerce live streaming and other channels to broaden grape sales channels, so that high-quality fruits can be sold at high prices, drive people's income growth, and help rural revitalization.
