If you look carefully at Zhou Sicong's paintings, you will find that there are two kinds of plants that often appear in her paintings, one is the lotus and the other is banana. The reason for this is that both plants are suitable for large-scale ink splashing to set off the lines of the characters, that is, the contrast between lines and surfaces; moreover, the color of the banana in her paintings is mostly light, which provides a wide space for the use of colors for the characters. Because of its light color, it is used as a background and does not compete with any protagonist for the audience's attention.

Zhou Sicong Born on January 11, 1939 in Lutai Town, Ninghe County, Hebei Province. Influenced by her grandfather Li Shaoyu (also known as Yeyun and Luyin) when she was young, she developed an interest in painting. When she was in junior high school, she accidentally saw the paintings of German painter Käthe Kollwitz in a publication and was deeply shocked. Kollwitz became her first and most admired painter. At the age of 17, she entered the Affiliated Middle School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. At the age of 20, she entered the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts to study under professors Li Keran, Jiang Zhaohe, Ye Qianyu, and Liu Lingcang. At the age of 25, she graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and was assigned to the Beijing Chinese Painting Academy (now Beijing Painting Academy) to engage in professional creation. Later, she served as an associate professor of the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His works include "Miners", "Woman Selling Wine Vessels", "Harvest", "Picture Mounting Workshop", "Rope Bridge", "Judo", etc. Published works include "Works of Lu Chen and Zhou Sicong" and "Legacy Ink", etc.
