Huasheng Online News August 16 (Reporter Chen Hangtao, Huang Junjie, Yu Wanying) Recently, the "Digital Memory" research team of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Hunan University of Science and Technology went to Jinxing Village, Shaoyang City, to carry out teaching activities with the theme of network security to help children establish correct network security concepts from an early age.
During the event, volunteers Peng Xianglong and Sun Ruitao popularized network security knowledge to the children from three aspects: behavioral safety, transaction safety, and friendship safety, including network security behavioral norms, how to protect personal privacy, and how to prevent online fraud.
In the interactive session, volunteers incorporated the traditional game element of "pass the flower" into the class, adding some fun to the popularization of cybersecurity knowledge. With the sound of lively music, the "flower" was passed from child to child, and the selected child was required to answer a question related to cybersecurity. The children participated enthusiastically, and the classroom atmosphere was lively.
After school, volunteers enthusiastically helped the children with their holiday homework. After class, as the last child left with his parents, this rural teaching activity came to a successful conclusion. "Although teaching is hard, seeing the satisfied smiles on the children's faces makes everything worthwhile. I hope that we will spend our youth, but only seek to contribute, not to be remembered." Deng Jiali, a volunteer of the "Digital 'Calculation' Memory" research team, said after the activity.
"Each generation has its own mission and responsibility." This rural teaching activity not only rooted the awareness of network security in children's hearts, but also lit up the light of hope for their digital life. The "Digital Memory" research team of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Hunan University of Science and Technology went deep into the grassroots and forged ahead, showing the demeanor of the young people of the new era who contribute to the country's modernization construction, and at the same time contributed their youthful strength to building a cyber power.
