Beijing News reported that according to the WeChat public account of "Beijing Mentougou", in recent years, Mentougou District has attached great importance to elderly care work and included the construction of elderly care service stations and elderly care dining points in the district's practical projects for the people to meet the diversified service needs of the elderly. In the first half of this year, the District Civil Affairs Bureau continued to make efforts to add 6 elderly care service stations and 10 elderly care dining points, allowing more elderly people to enjoy one-stop elderly care and dining services at their doorsteps.
"What can I get for 14 yuan for people over 80 years old?" "How does our meal taste?"... At 10:30 in the morning, many residents came to the elderly care service station in Shimenying District 1, Dongxinfang Street, for consultation and waiting to pick up their meals.
The station recently started providing meal assistance services. The elderly can order meals through the WeChat group or meal assistance point. There are different recipe packages from Monday to Friday. Each package includes 2 staple foods, 2 and a half meat dishes, 1 vegetarian dish, and 1 bowl of soup.
The prices of the meal packages range from 14 yuan to 18 yuan for the elderly of different ages. The dishes are a combination of meat and vegetables, with less oil and salt, to meet the taste and health needs of the elderly as much as possible. The station can also deliver meals to your door by adding 2 yuan to the price of the meal package.
Sun Shuting, deputy secretary of the Shimenying District 1 Community Party Committee, said that there are 1,859 elderly people over 60 years old in the community, accounting for 20.1% of the total population. This year, with the strong support of Dongxinfang Sub-district and the District Civil Affairs Bureau, a nursing service station was opened to further improve the quality of life of residents.
The elderly care service station not only meets the dining needs of the elderly in the surrounding area, but also becomes an important place for them to socialize and relax. In the elderly care service station in Xiangyang Community, Chengzi Street, the elderly are enjoying physiotherapy massage.

Since the beginning of this year, Mentougou District has built and opened six elderly care service stations, including Shimenying District 1 Community of Dongxinfang Street, Xiangyang Community of Chengzi Street, and Yuejiyuan District 2 of Dayu Street, and added 10 elderly care and dining points, including Yinghui Elderly Care Center in Yongding Town and Beijing Lupo Canteen.
