In order to enrich the summer life of teenagers in the area, turn the summer "gap period" into the children's "growth period", and effectively alleviate the problem of parents' "difficult supervision" during the summer vacation. The Jincheng Street Committee for the Care of the Children, Women's Federation and Youth League Committee jointly opened holiday schools with the community party and mass service centers and the New Era Civilization Practice Station to create a child-friendly growth space. So far, a total of 19 holiday schools have been opened, 147 courses have been offered, and 609 children have benefited greatly. Holiday schools have become the "base camp" for children's growth.
The holiday school focuses on summer safety, the Ten Zhejiang Etiquettes and the Qian Family Instructions, with the themes of "Growing up in the sunshine with a red scarf and striving to be the little master of the home" and "Five elders shining with silver light and caring for the 'summer' without stopping". Courses such as drowning prevention, fire safety, health lectures, party history propaganda, painting, handicrafts and "cracking down on pornography and illegal publications" are carefully arranged. While learning, the school also organizes children to carry out volunteer service activities such as visiting the Happy River and Lake Museum, environmental improvement and anti-fraud propaganda to comprehensively promote healthy and happy growth.
Each community also has its own characteristics in the arrangement of activities.
